Art in the Arboretum is one of the largest art shows in Southeastern North Carolina. For years it has attracted thousands of visitors to the New Hanover County Arboretum to view and buy paintings, photographs, jewelry, garden art sculptures and more.

But this year it’s going to look a little different.

Due to COVID-19, the art show is going virtual. Usually the show is held as a three-day event in October but this year they are conducting the online sale from Nov. 6 until Dec. 17.

The Arboretum will be using the online store platform, Shopify, to display and sell artists’ works.

Buyers will be able to click around the website to view different pieces of art by category or by artist.

The website will also have some videos of the artists creating their artwork.

The art show starts on Nov. 6 on www.artinthearboretum.com.
