Panic Attack Haunted Attraction opening night

Nakina, NC | 7:30 p.m. – 12 a.m. | Details

  • Panic Attack Haunted Attraction in Columbus County is opening this Friday with COVID-19 safety precautions in place. In addition to working on the safety measures, they have also added a new portion to the attraction called Cut Throat Cove.

Ponies & Pumpkins

Wild Horse Preserve at Grayce Wynds | 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. | Details

  • Every Friday in October from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. enjoy hayrides, pumpkin patch, pumpkin painting, and pony petting at Wild Horse Preserve at Grayce Wynds in Supply. Admission is $10 and free for children 3 and under.

Nightmare Woods – Opening Night

Winnabow | 8 p.m. – Midnight | Details

  • Due to heavy rain last weekend Nightmare Woods decided to delay their September 25 opening to this Friday. Come face your fears every Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 8 p.m. – Midnight at the live actor haunted attraction. Located at 7 Bell Swamp Connection NE, Winnabow.

Curbside Cinema: Dirty Dancing

UNCW Kenan Auditorium Parking Lot | 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. | Details

  • The UNCW Office of the Arts are continuing their Curbside Cinema series with Dirty Dancing this Friday. Parking begins at 7 p.m., movie starts at 8 p.m. and you must pay your admission in advanced ($28 per carload, plus tax and online fee).

Skyline Drive-In: Stephen King’s Firestarter

CFCC Parking Deck – Downtown Wilmington | 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. | Details

  • The Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts and the Wilson Center at CFCC will be hosting their drive-in series called Skyline Drive-In Movies on the top level of the Hanover Street Student Parking Deck in downtown Wilmington. This Saturday they will be showing Stephen King’s Firestarter.

Run for the Ta Tas 

 Mayfair Town Center | 7:40 a.m. | Details

  • The Run for the Ta Tas is a 5K Chaser Race with a 1 Mile Kids Run and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. Races will be all morning starting at 7:40 a.m in Mayfaire Town Center’s grass lots behind Belk. There is still time to register. Click Here to sign up!

Heels & Wheels – Ridin’ to Make a Difference!

 Carolina Coast Harley-Davidson | 10:00 a.m. | Details

  • This Saturday morning kick off Breast Cancer Awareness month with Stilettos on Steel benefit ride for Julie’s Pink Warrior Project. Open to all motorcycles and riders. It’s $20 per bike donation plus a 50/50 raffle ticket. Kick Stands Up at 10 a.m. riding from Carolina Coast Harley-Davidson on Market Street to New River Harley-Davidson in Jacksonville where there will be live music and $5 food plates from Golden Corral.

Goat Yoga

Buckhorn Farm – Rocky Point | 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. | Details

  • You’ve heard of it and now you can try it this Sunday morning. Goat yoga on the farm! A one hour yoga session with instructor Julia Harrelson at Buckhorn Farm in Rocky Point. There will be plenty of goat snuggles, a treat bag to feed the goats and coffee.

The Hampstead Wedding Expo

 Olde Point Country Club | 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. | Details

  • Are you or someone you know getting married? Head to Olde Point Country Club in Hampstead this Saturday for their Wedding Expo. From Noon – 3 p.m. there will be vendors of all kinds to supply items and ideas for all your wedding needs as well as a wedding dress fashion show. Bridal registration is required to attend.

Oktoberfest 2020

 Salty Turtle Beer Company | Noon – 10 p.m. | Details

  • Venture to Surf City this Saturday to celebrate Oktoberfest! Free steins to the first 50 customers who purchase the Salty Turtle’s Oktoberfest Märzen Style Lager. There will also be other giveaways throughout the day and get dressed in your Oktoberfest themed costume best.

“Save The Bars” Beach Bar Concert & Dinner Benefit

Watermans Brewing | 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. | Details

  • Come together as a community for a concert and dinner to benefit our beloved Wrightsville Beach Bars that have been closed for months. Enjoy live music, raffles, food and drinks. All sales will be donated Wrightsville Beach Bars that have been closed for 6 Months or more.

Oak Island Movie in the Park: Moana

Middleton Park | 7:30 p.m. | Details

  • Grab the family and head over the Oak Island for Movie in the Park featuring Moana. Movie starts at 7:30 p.m. at Middleton Park. Be sure to bring your mask, blanket, and beach chair to enjoy the movie under the stars.


Sunday, October 4

Swim the Loop

Wrightsville Beach | 9 a.m. – Noon | Details

  • This Sunday swimmers will test their endurance at Swim the Loop starting and ending at Dockside Restaurant in Wrightville Beach. Race starts at at 9 a.m. with the awards ceremony following later in the morning.
