  • The Drive-Thru Greek Festival at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Wilmington, NC, features a special 2020 menu including pastries sold individually and a sampler box.

Drive Thru Trick or Treat

Maides Park, 1101 Manly Ave, Wilmington | 6 – 8 p.m. | Details

  • A fun, safe Halloween event for the community! Participate in a FREE drive thru trick or treating event. Participants will remain in vehicles and drive thru to collect candy and treats from community organizations. Wear your costume! The event will be outside and will follow COVID-19 guidelines. Pre-registration is not required. Event is first come first serve.

Fright Night at Battle House Laser Tag

Battle House Laser Tag Wilmington | 4:15 – 9:15 p.m. | Details

  • Lights out, creepy music, themed laser tag battles, giveaways, and more!

Comedy Showcase in the Park

Thalian Hall/Innis Park | 7 p.m. | Details

  • The Comedy Showcase in the Park takes place in Innes Park adjacent to the Princess Street entrance to Thalian Hall in downtown Wilmington, NC. The event features performances by Lew Morgante, Tony Castleberry, Billy Raim, and Willis Maxwell Jr. with your host and MC for the evening Alex Denning. In cooperating with the Phase 3 executive order, this will be a highly limited experience exclusively for up to 100 guests.

Oak Island Fall Concert Series – The British Invaders

Middleton Park | 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. | Details

  • The Oak Island Parks and Rec presents the British Invaders. Bring your best mask and be transformed back to the music of the 1960’s.

Panic Attack Haunted Attraction

Nakina, NC | 7:30 p.m. – 12 a.m. | Details

  • Panic Attack Haunted Attraction in Columbus County is open with COVID-19 safety precautions in place. In addition to working on the safety measures, they have also added a new portion to the attraction called Cut Throat Cove.

Maze Craze

Galloway Farm – Home of Maze Craze | 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. | Details

  • Purchase tickets in advance by date and time slot. Featured attractions include a 11 Acre Maze, 2 Acre Kid’s Fun Maze, Farm Games Augmented Reality Scavenger Hunt, Duck Races, Hop Along Bouncers, Corn Hole, Tractor and Barrel Train Rides, and much more.

Nightmare Woods

Winnabow | 8 p.m. – Midnight | Details

  • Come face your fears every Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 8 p.m. – Midnight at the live actor haunted attraction. Located at 7 Bell Swamp Connection NE, Winnabow.

Ponies & Pumpkins

Wild Horse Preserve at Grayce Wynds | 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. | Details

  • Every Friday in October from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. enjoy hayrides, pumpkin patch, pumpkin painting, and pony petting at Wild Horse Preserve at Grayce Wynds in Supply. Admission is $10 and free for children 3 and under.

Oktoberfest Party at Olde Point

Nineteen Restaurant – Olde Point Country Club | 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. | Details

  • Get a taste of the season in Hampstead at Olde Point Country Club for their Oktoberfest party. From 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at the Nineteen Restaurant enjoy traditional Oktoberfest foods like brats and Bavarian style pretzels, and beer, as well as live music.

Pleasure Island FREE Drive-In Concert

Fort Fisher Airforce Rec Center | 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Details

  • The Summer 2020 concert series were cancelled due to Covid but now they’ve been changed up a bit. A FREE drive-in concert! Get in your car with your friends and family and head down to the Fort Fisher Rec Center to enjoy some live music from local artists.

  • Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. Beer, Soda and Water will be available for sale on site by the Base.

Curbside Cinema: Ghostbusters

UNCW Kenan Auditorium Parking Lot | 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. | Details

  • The UNCW Office of the Arts are continuing their Curbside Cinema series with Ghostbusters this Friday. Parking begins at 7 p.m., movie starts at 8 p.m. and you must pay your admission in advanced ($28 per carload, plus tax and online fee).

Cape Fear Raptor Center’s 6th Annual Owl Howl

The Brunswick Riverwalk | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Details

  • Come out and support the Cape Fear Raptor Center! Get up close with some of the region’s rehabilitated flying wildlife this Saturday. The Cape Fear Raptor Center will have a variety of birds of prey to see in action and even pet at the Brunswick Riverwalk. There will also be raffles, local vendors, food, and plenty of entertainment.

DonkeyPalooza

Skywatch Bird Rescue | 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Details

  • This Saturday and Sunday between 10 a.m. -1 p.m., come out for Skywatch Bird Rescue’s DonkeyPalooza. Walk around the sanctuary to check out their resident birds and hug on the donkeys and emus.
  • It’s $8 for adults, $5 for kids, and free for kids 3 and under.

1st Annual OTCA Fall Festival

  • This Saturday bring your kids and enjoy all things Fall and Halloween with Olde Towne Community NC. There will be trunk-or-treat, kids costume contest, food for purchase, games, crafts, and a 50/50 raffle.
  • If you’re up for it they still need volunteers to participate in offering to setup a trunk for Trunk-or-Treat. (Grand Prize for best Trunk!)

Drive-In Movie Night: The Addams Family & Hocus Pocus

USS North Carolina Battleship | 5:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. | Details

  •  Spend a night under the stars with the Junior League at their Drive-In Movie Night at the Battleship and enjoy a double feature. Doors open at 5:30pm and the first movie, The Addams Family (2019 animated version) will start at 6:45 p.m. and Hocus Pocus will start at 8:30 p.m.
  • One ticket ($40) is good for one car and will get you access to both movies. Food will be available for purchase from local food trucks.

  • Wanting to visit the ruins of Brunswick after dark? Here is your chance to social distance, walk the site, and enjoy a little nighttime cannon firing.

  • You must reserve your time slot in advance. (6:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.)

Halloween Pet Parade

Carolina Beach | 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. | Details

  • Bring your furbaby dressed in their Halloween best to Jeanne’s Jewels & Fashions etc in Carolina Beach. They’re hosting a Halloween Pet Parade and Costume Contest. ALL critters are welcome! $8 registration for 1 pet and $10 for 2 pets, or owner/pet. Proceeds goes to PAWS Resale Shoppe to help local animal rescues.

The Frontlines

Cameron Arts Museum | 2:30 p.m. | Details

  • Join the Black On Black Project at the Cameron Art Museum for a special screening of the new short film “The Front Lines,” which looks at some of the history of Wilmington through poetry and dance. The film begins to unpack the 1865 Battle of Forks Road, the 1898 massacre, and the 1971 Wilmington Ten case.
