Starting Wednesday, April 22, Cape Fear Weekend and WECT will be Feeding the Fearless.
For the next six Wednesdays, we will feature a local restaurant in the Cape Fear Region. The feature will air on WECT in the 5:30 p.m. newscast and will also live here, on the Cape Fear Weekend website.
The segment sponsor, Corning Credit Union will then buy a $100 gift card from the featured restaurant and donate it to our healthcare and first responder heroes.
If you miss the feature on air, you can go to CapeFearWeekend.com and click on the “Feeding the Fearless” tab to watch it there.
Features that have aired so far:
- This popular Wilmington lunch spot has hundreds of vintage lunch boxes that will take you back in time to your school cafeteria days – $100 gift card to be donated to the professionals of the New Hanover Regional Medical Center Environmental Services Team, who are working tirelessly to ensure the facilities are clean and sanitized for patients and staff.
This New York style deli has been a staple in Wilmington for almost 15 years – $100 gift card to be donated to the brave men and women of NHRMC’s Emergency Medical Services department.
