Everybody’s favorite Wilmington bagel place, Beach Bagels, is expanding once again.
They are planning to open their fourth location in downtown Wilmington at 130 N. Front Street, where Chops Deli used to be.
Tony Di Norcia, owner of Beach Bagels, said he doesn’t have a set time for when the downtown location will be open but he has signed the lease for the space.
Di Norcia says right now his priority is to get the Wrightsville Beach location back open after it was damaged in Hurricane Florence.
With the reopening of the Wrightsville Beach location, Di Norcia says it will have a fresh, new look.
Smoothies and espressos will be a part of the menu at the new downtown location when it opens. Those are two options that were added to the Beach Bagels menu at the Monkey Junction location which opened back in October 2018. Smoothies and espressos are expected to be added to the Wrightsville Beach location as well once they reopen.
Di Norcia said they don’t have any concrete plans for any other locations right now but mentioned he would like to start franchising the business. He says there’s been interest in Leland, Southport, and even Florida.
