Here’s where you can see fireworks and celebrate 4th of July in Wilmington and surrounding beaches

WILMINGTON, N.C. (CAPE FEAR WEEKEND) -

Looking to marvel at some fireworks this Independence Day? Enjoy time spent with family and friends under the lights of a fireworks show and celebrate Independence Day in Wilmington. Here are all the places having fireworks shows this 4th of July. Don’t forget the many 4th of July festivals happening at our surrounding beaches that are sure to make the weekend before the 4th one for the books.

The Annual 4th of July Festival is surely something to be seen in Southport and Oak Island this year. This year the festival will be hosting two nights of fireworks one on July 1st and another July 4th. There are so many events to enjoy that you might need this printable calendar.

This years festival includes an arts and crafts market in Southport and Oak island as well as a beach day, a firefighting competition, even a car show.

a Lynyrd Skynyrd cover band will be playing a free show on Johnny Mercier Pier on Wrightsville Beach.

Airlie Gardens will host a rock and blues band from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and tickets can be purchased on their website.

July 3rd

Restaurants such as Oceanic and Bluewater are offering live music from 12-3 pm as well as fun cocktails with more music from 4-8 pm.

Carolina Beach Lake Park will be hosting a movie night showing “Jaws 2″ at 8:45 PM

July 4th

The Independence Day Road race! At 7:45 am, there is a 5k or mile run/walk to celebrate the fourth. Dress in red, white and blue!

At the Live Oak Pavilion at the Riverfront Park on July 4th the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra and the School of Rock Band will be preforming all types of music, they will start playing at 5 pm with the fireworks following.
