Everything you need to know about new breweries coming to Leland

WILMINGTON, N.C. (CAPE FEAR WEEKEND) -

Brunswick county is growing as more and more people move to the area, and as a result businesses are finding opportunities in the community.

There will be three breweries in Leland as soon as February of next year. Locals are excited to not have to journey across the bridge to get a great craft beer.

The first brewery in Leland opened its doors in October and is the sister brewery of an established brewery across the bridge. Brunswick Beer and Cider is Wrightsville Beach Brewery’s second location but will offer unique brews at this location. Head brewer Neil Blake will be brewing a variety of beers for the Leland location. Brunswick Beer and Cider is actually about 25% larger than the Wrightsville Beach brewery. With more space for creating craft beers the brand is exciting to be expanding.

Mannkind brewing will be opening possibly as soon as February in Leland, and they hope to provide a unique customer experience. The brewery will be located at 9600 Ploof Rd. in Leland, North Carolina and will operate on a 10-barrel system that will be visible to guests at the taproom. You can read more about Mannkind here.

Finally,

Leland Brewing Co is also hoping to open its doors at the beginning of 2023. The brewery began construction in 2020, but faced several setbacks due to the pandemic. Leland Brewing Co will be across the street from Leland Town Hall & Founder’s Park, on 133 Old Fayetteville Road. The brewery will be a 9,000 square foot facility for manufacturing and a tap room.

It’s exciting that soon Leland will have a beer community of its very own. We will continue to follow the construction of these new breweries as we get closer to them opening in 2023.

Cheers!
