Join the Port City Players at Waterline Brewing Company for our annual Fat Tuesday Celebration! The brewery will be decked out in all things Mardi-Gras for this once a year festivity. The infamous Port City Players are a rowdy and musical bunch coming to bring you a hooting’ good time for this once a year event! The food truck parked at the brewery will be serving up New Orleans style cuisine for one night only. Catch owner Eve Robinson handing out complimentary King cake and maybe you’ll be the lucky one who finds the baby for a whole year of Cajun good luck?!

MovieGras Short Film Fest and Script Contest

MovieGras is a Citizen Studios original Short Film Festival and Screenwriting competition. Enter your fully produced short film or any length screenplay (per our criteria) for the first annual film competition celebrating the mantra of Mardi Gras, “Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler.” Chosen short films will be screened and winners announced across 12 categories. Mardi Gras Fundraiser for UNCW GSRC

Dress in your Mardi Gras best and enjoy what will seem like a night on Bourbon Street! Ticket proceeds will be donated to directly support the Gender Studies and Research Center at UNCW. Ticket includes a one-year membership to exclusive private club, Wine Knot Sky Bar, as well as New Orleans themed hors d’oeuvres, and other prizes. This fundraiser has a sliding scale ticket fee with your choice of a donation of $50, $75 or $100. This is a fun fundraising event to support the Gender Studies and Research Center (GSRC) at UNCW. This center focuses on promoting social justice and equality for minority gender identities and supporting women’s and trans rights at the university and in the greater Wilmington area.
