“Stop. Collaborate and listen. Coglin’s is here to get your attention,” reads the very first line in the “about” section on their Facebook page.

Yes, an 80s and 90s themed bar is now open in downtown Wilmington giving you a place other than your car to jam out to some of the greatest hits of all time.

“At Coglin’s we strive to bring you back to all those memories of yesteryear with the greatest sights and sounds of the 80s and 90s,” Coglin’s owner Zack Medford said.

Of course, they have retro inspired décor elements and a “power soundtrack” spun by their live DJs “exclusively hailing from the greatest party decades known to man.”

Medford and his business partner Ben Yannessa opened the first Coglin’s in Raleigh seven years ago. The two both have personal ties to the Port City, so it was only fitting that they opened up a second location here.

Currently they are open Thursday – Sunday evenings with plans to expand their hours of operation in the spring.

The venue is also available to private rental and offers booth reservations and VIP options.

Coglin’s is located at 206 Market Street on the second floor.
