Grab your prehistoric passport and head to the N.C. State Fairgrounds to join over 40 giant moving dinosaurs on a “globe trotting expedition.”

Dino Safari will be at the fairgrounds from Feb. 18 – 28. It is a completely drive-thru experience in which you can see some of the most fascinating prehistoric creatures from the comfort of your own car.

You’ll be able to see Dinos such as the T. Rex, Spinosaurus, and more. By listening to an in-car audio guide (available in both English and Spanish) you’ll learn how they evolved over time, where on earth they lived, and the discoveries paleontologists have made about how they ate, moved, and behaved.

Be careful though. Their website issued this warning: “Beware: along the journey, earthquakes might erupt, dinosaurs could battle, and your family might just have to help save a baby dinosaur’s life!”

The website says it takes each car around 40 minutes to drive through the entire experience.

The exhibition will be open Mondays – Wednesdays from 3 – 8 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Tickets are sold for half hour time slots, with the last ticket sold a half hour before closing each day (7:30 on Mondays – Wednesdays, 8:30 Thursday – Sundays).

If you plan to visit this prehistoric time, you should purchase a ticket in advance. You can do so by visiting their website here.
