Knot Your Elficial Carolina Beach Flotilla 2020!

Carolina Beach Waterway | 6:30 p.m. | Details

  • The flotilla will start at 6:30pm in front of the boat launch and proceed to the Town Marina on the west side of the waterway. After turning around at the Town Marina, the flotilla will return to the boat landing on the east side of the waterway. This year, there will be no registration fees, no prizes, no voting. They are doing this solely to bring a little Christmas joy to our community!

Southport Christmas Flotilla

Southport | 4:30 p.m. | Details

  • This years Southport Flotilla will be a little different. There will be no registration fees, no prizes, and no voting. They are doing this simply to bring a little Christmas joy to the community! The flotilla will begin out front of Southport Marina and Fishy, Fishy areas. Then float down past South Harbour to the JetPort and back. Weather depending.

Spirit of Calabash Christmas Cruise

Callahan’s of Calabash | 6 – 7:30 p.m.| Details

  • Enjoy a festive and socially-distanced safe car cruise along the Calabash Business District and River Road and celebrate the unique Calabash Christmas charm. Decorate your own vehicles, marvel at the Community Christmas tree, and say “Hello” to Santa Claus who will be cheering on the Christmas Cruisers at Callahan’s of Calabash!

Holiday Drive-In Movie at Mayfaire

Mayfaire Town Center | 6 p.m. | Details

  • Head to Mayfaire Town Center for a holiday movie event featuring The Polar Express. The movie will be shown in the parking lot across from Belk. Come dressed in your best Christmas pajamas. Chick-fil-a, drinks and snacks will be available for purchase. Tickets: $40 per carload ($15.00 movie ticket & $25.00 event fee)

Leland in Lights

Town of Leland Parks and Recreation | 5 – 10 p.m. | Details

  • Founders Park will be lit up once again for the annual Leland in Lights display and this year’s celebration will be brighter than ever with even more to see! Whether your wish list includes a walk through the Candy Cane Forest, standing beneath the shimmering waterfall of lights, or meeting any of the friendly critters in our woodland light display, there’s something for everyone!

The Holiday Flea at Brooklyn Arts Center

Brooklyn Arts Center | 4 – 9 p.m. | Details

  • 40 of the finest local and regional vendors will present one-of-a-kind vintage, retro, up-cycled, and artisan treasures in the Church and in The Annex just in time for your holiday shopping. Each day they’ll have the area’s best food trucks: WilmyWoodie on Friday, Catch The Food Truck on Saturday, and Bill’s Front Porch on Sunday. They’ll have a coffeeshop inside The Annex and the BAC full-service bar in the courtyard serving up mimosas, margaritas and more.

Curbside Cinema: Home Alone

UNCW Kenan Auditorium Parking Lot | 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. | Details

  • The UNCW Office of the Arts are continuing their Curbside Cinema series with Home Alone this Friday. Parking begins at 7 p.m., movie starts at 8 p.m. and you must pay your admission in advanced ($28 per carload, plus tax and online fee).

2020 Cape Fear Festival of Trees

Mayfaire Town Center | 12 – 8 p.m. | Details

  • The Cape Fear Festival of Trees at Mayfaire Town Center in Wilmington, NC, features a winter wonderland provided by local businesses, groups, and families which sponsor and decorate holiday trees. Proceeds support Lower Cape Fear LifeCare’s mission to ensure care and support to families in the community living with serious and life-limiting illness.

 

Saturday, December 5

The Holiday Flea at Brooklyn Arts Center

Brooklyn Arts Center | 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. | Details

  • 40 of the finest local and regional vendors will present one-of-a-kind vintage, retro, up-cycled, and artisan treasures in the Church and in The Annex just in time for your holiday shopping. Holiday Truck Tour

All Motors Wilmington | 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Details

  • All Motors in Wilmington, NC, presents a Holiday Truck Tour, a chance to climb on cool vehicles such as Fire Trucks, Tow Trucks, Military Vehicles, Monster Trash Truck, Dune Buggy, Argo, and Hovercraft. The event also includes Krispy Kreme donuts and hot dogs, a visit with Santa, and live music by Mike O’Donnell and crew.

2nd Annual Seven Mile Post Oyster Roast

Seven Mile Post | 12:30 p.m. | Details

  • All you can eat oysters for $25/person! In order to accommodate social distancing guidelines they are selling tickets by the table and we will be serving the oysters to your outside table. There will be live music all day. There are two available time slots to choose from, either 12:30-3:30pm, or 4-7pm. You can choose your seating time and table at the bar to reserve your spot. There will be a rain date if weather becomes an issue.
