  • Relive the sounds of girl power with Beehive: The 60’s Musical on the Main Stage of Historic Thalian Hall. Thalian Association Community Theatre (TACT) takes the stage for a rare summer production with this salute to the most popular female performers of the 1960s, the decade that changed music forever.

  • The string petting zoo at Brooklyn Arts Music Academy is a free, fun event for preschool and elementary-age kids. Come try out the violin and cello! They will play music games and experiment with instruments. No previous musical experience required.

Battleship 101

Battleship North Carolina | 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Details

  • Battleship 101 at the Battleship North Carolina in Wilmington features volunteers stationed throughout the vessel engaging visitors in specific subjects and areas including gunnery, radar, sick bay, galley, engineering, and daily shipboard life. Attendees can try on helmets, raise signal flags, use semaphore flags and Morse code, talk on rotary phones and sound-powered phones, create personal stencils, type on vintage typewriters and more.
