A new restaurant in downtown Wilmington is bringing the decadent milkshake game to the Port City.

Port City Burgers and Brews opened up on Market Street a few weeks ago and owner Dennis Mancinelli says business has been pretty great so far.

Aside from their extravagant milkshakes, (which we’ll get to in a second, I promise,) they serve gourmet, hand-pattied burgers, an assortment of appetizers, and of course brews.

“The gourmet burgers are to die for,” Mancinelli said. “People love them. We have some different appetizers that are really cool like Brussel sprouts that are buffalo style with Gorgonzola cheese. Fried clam strips, conch fritters, wings. We do a little bit of everything.”

But now let’s talk about the milkshakes. They have a few different types of milkshakes but they’re not just any old milkshake. They pile them as high as they can possibly go with anything and everything under the sun that you can imagine would be good on and in a milkshake.

Mancinelli and Sabrey Ball, a Port City Burgers & Brews server/bartender, showed us how two of their signature milkshakes are made. Their chocolate peanut butter milkshake is a chocolate/peanut butter lovers dream, and the “Candy Land” is more geared toward those who just want straight sugar.

You can get either of these milkshakes or try a different one at their restaurant now. For more info, check out their Facebook page here.
