The wait is over! Gulfstream Restaurant is now officially open in Wrightsville Beach in the old Causeway Café.
Wednesday morning Gulfstream announced on their Facebook page that they are finally open for business and “ready to serve up some breakfast to the WB community!”
Near the end of February, the restaurant announced they had purchased the old Causeway Café building which closed in early November of last year after the owner retired.
Gulfstream originally said they planned to open the Wrightsville Beach location in May, however renovations caused that date to get pushed back.
According to an Instagram post from the restaurant on May 16th, they demoed everything in the building back to the cinder block shell and added new plumbing, electrical, roof, insulation, walls, HVAC and ADA access. “That takes a while,” they said in the post.
They’ve also added a new ramp to the front of the restaurant.
This is Gulfstream’s second location. The original restaurant is in Carolina Beach.
