Ledo Pizza is known for their square pizza which gives “customers more pizza than the traditional round pizza,” according to their Facebook page. That is where their motto, “Never cut corners” comes from.
The pizza joint started near the University of Maryland in 1955 and has grown to over one hundred locations since. They have other locations in D.C., Virginia, South Carolina, West Virginia, Florida, and now North Carolina.
According to Ledo, “Each pizza is made with fresh handmade dough, rolled to order, topped with high quality smoked provolone cheese, and famously sweet Ledo sauce.”
They are also famous for their thick sliced pepperoni which is a result of the cooks cutting the pepperoni by hand. Something they have been doing since their inception.
“The thicker the slice, the faster the work was finished,” Ledo Pizza says.
But they also have more than just delicious pizza.
Their menu shows they have everything from wings, to Toasted Ravioli, Chicken Parmesan, Alfredo, calzones and Stromboli’s to even subs including Cheesesteaks.
They have gluten free pizzas as well. You can get a traditional gluten free crust, or a cauliflower crust.
Ledo Pizza is located at 6801 Parker Farm Dr. in Mayfaire. They are open from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Sundays and Mondays, 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. Tuesday – Thursday, and 11 a.m. – 12 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
