The Friends of the New Hanover County Arboretum will hold a Juneteenth Fair on Saturday June 19 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
There will be local Black business owners and vendors with products such as spice rubs, herbal teas, candles, lotions, art, and produce.
The fair will begin with a reading of the Emancipation Proclamation, then sharing of the history of Juneteenth, singing, poetry, music, and more.
The event is a fundraiser for the Friends of the Arboretum but the cost to come to the event is free. The Friends welcome the entire Cape Fear community to come out and take part in the celebration.
