Are you feeling lucky? The McDonald’s Shamrock Shakes are back in time for St. Patrick’s Day!
Every time you buy a shake, you’re also supporting the mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Carolina (RMHC of NC) all at the same time.
A portion of every Shamrock Shake sold from Feb. 13 – March 24 will support families staying a various Ronald McDonald Homes in North Carolina.
Families with a child being treated at an area hospital shouldn’t have to worry about where they will stay, if they can afford it, or when they might get their next meal or shower. They should only have to worry about supporting and loving their child.
That’s where the local Ronald McDonald Houses come in and where customers’ small change can make a big difference.
The Shamrock Shake became a fan favorite when it was introduced in 1970, and donations from sales in 1974 helped establish the very first Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia.
“The Shamrock Shake’s history is rooted in a legacy of love,” said Fred Huebner, President of the RMHC of NC Board. “Loyal customers can take comfort in knowing their sweet indulgence is making it possible for families to stay close to their seriously ill children as they receive treatment at area hospitals.”
RMHC of NC has set a goal of raising $30,000 during this campaign, which means restaurants in these areas must sell a combined 120,000 shakes – roughly 375 shakes at each of the 34 McDonald’s locations across the area.
